What are the technical characteristics of oil filters?

Oil filter is a type of filter that filters out impurities and gums from the engine, ensuring the cleanliness of the lubricating oil and extending its service life. However, do you know what technical features it has?

1. Rubber sealing ring: The filter sealing ring of high-quality engine oil is made of special rubber, ensuring 100% non oil leakage and long service life.
2. Backflow suppression valve: only available in high-quality oil filters. When the engine shuts down, it can prevent the oil filter from drying out; When the engine is ignited again, it immediately generates pressure and supplies oil to lubricate the engine.
3. Filter paper: Oil filters have higher requirements for filter paper than air filters, mainly because the temperature of the oil varies from 0 to 300 degrees. Under severe temperature fluctuations, the concentration of the oil also changes accordingly, which will affect the filtration flow rate of the oil. The filter paper of high-quality engine oil filters can filter impurities under severe temperature changes, ensuring sufficient flow rate.
4. Overflow valve: only available in high-quality oil filters. When the external temperature drops to a specific value or when the oil filter exceeds its normal service life, the overflow valve will open under special pressure, allowing unfiltered oil to flow directly into the engine. Despite this, impurities in the oil can enter the engine, but compared to the loss caused by the absence of oil in the engine, it is much smaller. Therefore, the overflow valve is the key to protecting the engine in emergency situations.
